You may have seen this famous US location on TV, specifically in shows like Miami Vice and thought that you love to visit there, but were concerned that it doesn't look like the kind of place to take the kids. You'd be wrong though because there are in fact many kid-friendly activities and sites to visit in this region. In fact, all you need to do is read the post below to discover what the best ones are.
Miami Children's Museum
First off, a great place to try is the Miami Children’s Museum located on MacArthur Causeway. Of Course, with a name like that, you would expect the entire thing to be dedicated to little ones, and in fact, it is. In particular, it's an excellent location for families with kids ranging from about 4-7 in age as the focus there is on interactive experiences. In fact, you can visit the Castle of Dreams, or Construction Zones, to name but a few and the kids will be amused for hours!
There is also a fantastic outdoor play area and a climbing wall for the more adventurous little one to try out too. Oh, and don't forget they play host to traveling exhibitions, the current one being a pirate ship where the kids get to dress up, walk the plank, and even fire air cannons! Avast me hearties, and all that!
Biscayne Bay
The next location that you should definitely check out as a family is the beautiful Biscayne Bay, which is southeast of the city. In fact, it is a gorgeous protected bay that makes a great place to take the family out on a boat ride. Something that the kids will love and that will allow the parents to get a great view of the city from the coastline.
Happily, it's pretty easy to find boats to rent in Miami, and you can even get ones that are captained by a professional. Something that means you and your family can sit back and relax, and don't need to worry about steering or safety. Just don't forget to take the sunscreen as you know how it can get when out on the water for a while!
Miami Seaquarium
Another place that the entire family are sure to get a kick from visiting is the Miami Seaquarium. This is a location that combines education and fun in such a way that it will create lasting memories for everyone that attends it.
In fact, you can learn about the rescue and rehabilitation of various aquatic rates like manatees, dolphins, and sea turtles, and also swim with dolphins and even do a reef encounter! The latter being a sea trek which you were oxygenated domed helmets for, and can walk and swim among the school of fish and rays! Perfect for even those that don't have any diving experience and something that you can share as a whole family. Now, that really would magical experience to have with the family while in Miami!

Hey there friends! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! I wanted to share with you guys these easy and fun Easter/Spring edible craft that kids can have fun making all by themselves! Fun, simple and delicious dipped pretzel rods are a perfect springtime snack for family gathers or classroom treats. So, let's get our ingredients together and feel free to use whatever sprinkles, nuts, coconut or whatever kind of crushed food items you’d like. The possibilities are endless so be creative, it’s going to be a fun and yummy time for everyone!
Easter Pretzel Rod
Ingredients:
- Pretzel rods
- White candy melts, white chocolate morsels, or vanilla almond bark
- Green candy melts
- Yellow candy melts
- Orange candy melts
- Orange nonpareils
- Yellow nonpareils
- Confetti sprinkles
- Spring flowers sprinkles
1. Melt the candy coating according to package directions giving special care not to overheat the candy. If the candy coating is overheated, it will be too thick. You can add 2 teaspoons of vegetable shortening or coconut oil to help thin the candy but do not add any other type of liquid as the candy will seize and harden.2. Pour candy coating over two-thirds of the pretzel rod and shake gently to remove excess. If applying sprinkles, do so immediately rotating the pretzel rods to coat all sides. Larger sprinkles work best if placed individually.
3. Place pretzel rod on waxed paper or cooling rack. (Cook’s notes: Waxed paper makes for easier release.)
4. If drizzling with additional colored candy melts, allow initial candy coating to set completely. Then, use a spoon or fork to drizzle candy coating over the pretzel rods. Before the pretzel sets, gently pick it up and move to clean wax paper.
5. Let pretzel rods dry completely before packaging or serving.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Placing in the refrigerator may cause the pretzel to soften.
I hope you all try this simple DIY recipe, they are a delicious and fun way to dress up any Easter basket! Wishing you all the "hoppiest" of Easters!

After the death of his wife, Carson Drew decides to leave Chicago behind and make a fresh start with his daughter in River Heights. But for 16-year-old Nancy Drew, life in a small town is mighty dull. She longs for excitement, adventure, and the chance to make a difference. Nancy gets that opportunity when she is asked to help solve the ghostly activity at the Twin Elms mansion. Can she help explain the creaking footsteps, exploding lightbulbs, and the ominous creature? Is it the handiwork of high-school bully Derek Barnes? Or is it possible that the ghost of original owner Malcolm Colfax is back for revenge? Recruiting her best friends George and Bess, along with local “mean girl” Helen, Nancy Drew is on the case!
