Getting more physical activity into your routine is important if you want to be fitter and healthier. It can help you lose weight by burning more calories, giving you a boost to cut down on fat. However, if you focus too much on exercise without changing your diet, it's likely that you won't lose weight as quickly as you want.

Relying on the Scales

A set of bathroom scales can be useful for helping you to monitor your weight. However, if you only have your scales to measure your progress, you probably won't be getting an accurate picture, especially if you're working out more. It's also sensible to use a tape measure to take body measurements so that you can compare them too.

Trusting Fad Diets

If you're looking for a new diet to support your weight loss, it's best to avoid any fad diets that aim for quick, short-term weight loss. They might help you get the weight off but they probably won't help you keep it off. You should adjust your diet so that it's sustainable long-term.
